NIKE GETS HIGH.

For our female and transvestite NIKE fans, COLE-HAAN recently started selling the first ever high heels using NIKE air technology. The 'State-of-the-Art' heel (their description not ours) took two years to develop and will allegedly "change the way women think and wear high heels". They will of course have absolutely no affect on how men think of high heels - i.e. they don't care how comfortable they are, only whether the woman wearing them is hot and in a swimsuit or lingerie...

Now we're just waiting to see what the SUPREME collab will look like.

707 IS HIRING!

So you think you have the determination it takes to work in a high-pressure environment like 707? You think you have the skills to compete against the best of the best of the best? Can you read and write and chew gum at the same time?

Then you have what we need. We need YOU.

Basically we're looking for a few creative individuals with an interest in urban culture and fashion to join our crew. Job is part-time, minimum of four shifts a week, with flexible hours so easy to work around college schedules etc... Positions are available in the Kemang store, and also our Citos store (opening September).

To apply, drop off your resume at the store in Kemang, or email it to us at info@sevenohseven.com.

WU-TANG BAND.

We're as tired as the next guys of all the bedroom 'DJ's' throwing mash-ups together, but once in a while we catch something vaguely amusing. This combo of the WU-TANG CLAN and Dixieland Jazz may not showcase the best mixing skills, but definitely shows some originality - pretty rare these days.

SBTG DECK.

A BIG thank you to the divine Ms. P from NIKE. We met up for dinner and drinks in Singapore and she came bearing this suprise gift. Limited edition SBTG deck with all-over ROYALE FAM / Sabotage print. Supposedly only 40 pieces made to go along with the new SBTG Nike SB Dunk... Hmmm...

BETTER THAN NIKE ID.

Amanda is in for a bit of a disappointment
We understand that NIKE ID's been a success, and that other companies like M&M's have also had success selling similar 'customized' product, but there comes a point where we gotta say "enough already". MY HEINZ is way, way past that point. For the bargain price of about 6 bucks a bottle, you can now have ketchup delivered to your house with a personalized label. The website is worth checking out just to see their ideas for ketchup gift-giving...

Of course it could just be that we're being elitist and don't understand the mass-market mentality. Maybe kids in trailer parks across the USA dream of getting a bottle of personalized ketchup for their birthday?

FALSE FRIENDS.

sneak peek of the new collection

In Singapore again and had some time off to relax with our friends Le Messie and Amanda from FALSE. These two have been pretty hard to miss over the past year with mentions on all the major 'hype' sites for their LMAC (R.I.P), RETAIL YAKUZA and current FALSE projects and things are only going to get bigger.

Their upcoming collection is again all hand-screened on custom T's with hand-sewn labels, but this time they're also doing collaboration T's with a couple of their friends and biggest fans... LUPE FIASCO & MOS DEF. They've definitely got some high profile collectors. Lupe's also rocking one of their T's on the cover of his upcoming album FOOD & LIQUOR (note the LMAC Zombie toy floating on the right - as seen at the 707 THIS IS NOT A TOY exhibition, and the MHI vs. LUPE FIASCO jacket).

FALSE is available at the usual hotspots worldwide and we have a strange feeling you'll be seeing some in Jakarta soon... Check Lupe's blog at Hypebeast (wearing one of the best MHI T's ever in the side photo - we still have a couple in storage in 707, cos you guys slept on it).

RORY BRINGS TRASH TO JAKARTA.

DJ's rory (trash) & bergas (707) on the roof

RORY PHILIPS is one of the resident DJ's responsible for London's legendary club TRASH. Hosted with Erol Alkan, it's famous not only for the incredible eclectic mixes they throw together, but their ability to attract all the latest and greatest to play live. The list of special guest performers/DJ's reads like a who's who from 707's iPod... Bloc Party, Mylo, DFA 1979, Peaches, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Zongamin, 2 Many DJ's, Tiga, Felix Da Housecat, Jacques Le Cont, the Glimmers.... and the list goes on. And on.

Anyway, we just want to say how much we appreciate Rory coming halfway around the world to Jakarta and fighting severe sleep deprivation to play a secret set (along with Bergas) for an invitation-only audience on our roof (organized by Ariani and the Future 10 crew) in addition to his incredible CENTRO gig two days earlier... Come back SOON.

For visitors to London, you know where to go. Trash. The End. Check their website for details.

TATTY DEVINE.

New TATTY DEVINE should be in store next week...? We'll update this post when it come in.

Finally got around to posting the photos we took when visiting Rosie and Harriet, the eccentric geniuses behind this cult jewellery line. Somehow they manage to continually outdo themselves season after season - we already got a sneak peak of some of their future designs, and if you think the current pieces are off-the-wall, just wait until later this year and next spring!

Just in case you didn't believe that everything is still lovingly handmade in London, the same way as it's always been, in the same original location, here's a pic of their high-tech manufacturing facility...

SURREAL FACT OF THE DAY.

Just saw a news item that CHUPA CHUPS, the lollipop brand (!), will be releasing a line of clothing shortly. That's already pretty weird, but amazingly not the Surreal Fact of the Day (TM). The surreal part is that in the same news item it mentioned that the CHUPA CHUPS logo was designed by the artist SALVADOR DALI!? Checked up on this and it's true. Post should probably should have been called the Surreal-ist Fact of the Day...

UPDATE: Extra info sent by a reader. CHUPA CHUPS were invented in Spain and the name comes from the spanish verb 'chupar', meaning to suck (not to suck at). Useful language knowledge for any readers dating Spanish girls...

THE NEW STYLE.

Forget SUPREME, papa's got a brand new bag. As always, Bergas shows us the future of urban fashion. Only requires a beer can hat, a mangy dog, some beef jerky and a trailer to complete the look.

(BENT & CORRUPT tank, and PERKS AND MINI shorts on Sale in 707 now. Bergas available via Elite modelling agency.)

STREETHING.

Great to get all the latest info (wink) firsthand from the STREETHING crew as they caused chaos in Jakarta this week. If you want to know what's really happening in the region their blog and forums are a must-read...

MMMM... WAFFLES. NOT.

New from BEN & JERRY'S, 'flavoroma' room spray. Don't really know what to say about this, either it's the stupidest home product we've ever seen or it's the inspired work of a genius. No matter which, we pretty sure if you start spraying this around your house you'll be raiding the freezer for ice cream every ten minutes... Ok, it's the inspired work of a genius.

LOST AND FOUND.

Found in Michael's garden in Jakarta this weekend. One rather large Boa Constrictor. Answers to the name of Sid. Can probably kick your ass without even trying. Any claimants?
