VIVO SINGAPORE.

Forget parks, what Singaporeans really want is more malls. VIVOCITY is the latest, largest and worst-named of the city's shopping complexes. Unfortunately still no exciting shopping to be done here, with the same bland selection of chain stores seen elsewhere around the city, including the first GAP (yawn) in the region.

The only reason we bothered writing a post about it is the upstairs FOOD REPUBLIC food court, which has one of the more interesting interiors we've seen in a while. Themed to look like a Chinese back alley, with a selection of some of the best stalls in Singapore, it's got nice attention to detail, lighting and use of materials. Almost made going to VIVOCITY worth the trip.
