PEE-WEE DUNK.

Just thought we'd point out the excellent insoles in the new Pee-Wee Dunk (to be released in 2007) for those that missed them, or don't know the backstory...

Pee-wee Herman was a comic character created by comedian Paul Reubens in the late 70's who first made an appearance in a Cheech and Chong movie. He then went on to become hugely popular in the 80's, famous for his children's show PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE (which won 22 Emmys!), movies, and appearances on Saturday Night Live and David Letterman. His first movie, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, was one of Tim Burton's first directorial jobs, and also one of the first scores written by Danny Elfman (famous for writing the Simpson's theme, Batman theme, Spiderman theme, Men in Black theme... you get the picture). If you haven't seen it, we give it two thumbs up.

Anyway, his career came to a pretty sudden end in 1991 when he was caught playing with something other than his popcorn in a Florida Adult movie theatre. This is the reference on the insole (and explains the position of one of the arms)... Pee-Wee's last appearance was at the MTV Video Awards that year.
